Xiaomi Mijia Water Purifier 1600G with smart screen takes 2.1 seconds to fill a glass
The Mijia Water Purifier 1600G has been launched in China. The gadget dispenses water at 4.25 L per minute, meaning you can fill a glass in around 2.1 seconds. Water is filtered and stored to be available immediately; the water is changed after a fixed period to ensure it does not go stale. Overall, the filter has a 3:1 pure to wastewater ratio, and, as its name suggests, can process 1,600 gallons of water.
Xiaomi claims the device can remove 99.7% of hazardous substances, such as chlorine, thanks to a six-stage filtration system. The gadget uses a double head eight chamber pump, with a low level of operating noise. Xiaomi suggests that the device comes with free replacement RO filters lasting up to six years. Plus, the PPC filter element is guaranteed for two years.
You can view information about your water quality, like the TDS value, on the smart OLED screen built into the faucet. You can view other statistics, such as the filter life and water usage, in the Mijia app. You can currently pre-order the Mijia Water Purifier 1600G in China for 3,999 yuan (~US$561). After this pre-sale period, the device is expected to retail for 4,599 yuan (~US$645). It is unclear whether or when the water purifier could launch in other countries.
