Unlike most other neck fans, the Pro3 has a built-in negative ion generator to supplement the regular fan. In practice, however, the neck fan is now larger and some users may not find the ionizer worth the overall bulkier size.

After checking out the Pro1 S neck fan earlier this year, Jisulife is now shipping its Pro3 version starting at $130 USD. The Pro3 is notable for its built-in negative ion feature otherwise known as an ionizer.

The ionizer claims to improve air quality around the wearer by reducing impurities and making the air feel "fresher" or cooler. It's a feature on many home air purifiers and so it's nice to see it on a portable solution like the Pro3 neck fan.

Unfortunately, the Pro3 is larger than the Pro1 S likely due to its new integrated ionizer function. Its 435 g weight isn't necessary heavy, but it's certainly noticeable especially when combined with the overall thicker profile of the device. Comfort level can be a mixed bag for extended periods of use.

Other drawbacks include the hinges which can easily pinch your hair or neck if you're not careful when putting on the neck fan. Fan noise can also be quite loud especially when indoors, but this shouldn't be an issue when using the device in outdoor environments. Nonetheless, the loud fan makes listening to music more difficult when exercising or working.

If you're not deterred by the bulky size or loud fan, then everything else about the Pro3 is otherwise excellent from the build quality to the user-intuitive buttons and long battery life. We're able to get almost half a day of use at the 50 percent setting with the ionizer active while the built-in USB-C port makes charging quick and easy with almost any smartphone charger.
