The ComfyAir window air conditioner is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter. At the time of writing, the campaign already has over 1,300 backers, raising over US$364,000. The unit can heat and cool a room and is suitable for smaller rooms such as a kitchen, bathroom or cosy bedroom.
The ComfyAir sits on your windowsill horizontally or vertically with a claw-like design to keep it secure; you can continue to open or close your window as you wish. The device can deliver temperatures between 16 and 30°C (~61 to 86°F) with two wind speed settings. You can control the gadget via remote or built-in buttons. Three models are available, the ComfyAir 3000, 6000 and 9000, delivering a 3,000, 6,000 or 9,000 BTU per hour cooling capacity. The 3000 has 880W cooling and 600W heating power, the 6000 1,758W cooling and 1,500W heating power and the range-topping 9000 has 2,637W cooling and 1,500W heating power.
You can currently make a Super Early Bird pledge of US$199 for the ComfyAir 3000 window air conditioner. The ComfyAir 6000 and 9000 models cost US$229 and US$249, respectively. The company suggests these prices off a 40% discount on the RRP. ComfyAir plans to ship its product to customers in October, delivering to countries worldwide.
