Waterdrop unveils new A1 Reverse Osmosis Hot Cold Water Dispenser
The Waterdrop A1 Reverse Osmosis Hot Cold Water Dispenser is now available to pre-order in the US. The gadget can cool water to 41°F (~5°C) in as little as one second. The device can also heat water in around three seconds, with a top temperature of 203°F (~95°C). You can choose from five water dispensing volumes, from 4 to 20 oz (~110 to 570 ml).
The device features advanced RO filtration, with six layers used to purify the water and remove traces of chlorine, lead and sediment. According to Waterdrop, you can replace the filter in three seconds, though it is unclear how regularly this should take place. The 204 oz (~6L) tank provides dual UV sterilzation with a 99.9% sterilization rate, and a 2:1 clean-to-waste water ratio makes it relatively efficient. You can use the built-in OLED touchscreen to set the temperature, view the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) level and trigger a child-lock safety feature. You can choose from various modes, such as Night mode to reduce noise levels and Altitude mode to correct the boiling point intelligently.
Plus, an ambient light indicates whether cold, room temperature or hot water is being dispensed. The device measures 18.3 x 7.8 x 17.1-in (~465 x 198 x 432 mm) and does not need to be plumbed in to a water supply. You can currently pre-order the Waterdrop A1 Reverse Osmosis Hot Cold Water Dispenser in the US for the discounted price of US$559, thanks to an in-page US$140 off coupon; the gadget typically retails for US$699. The product is due to ship on June 25th.
