Roborock has dipped its toes into the projector market, having established itself as one of the market leaders for robot vacuums. According to iF Design, Roborock has created an ultra-short throw projector, dubbed the Smart Projector R1. For some reason, the awards body claims that Roborock released the projector last year; we cannot find any other evidence to suggest that this was the case.
In fact, Roborock does not mention the Smart Projector R1 on its website or on its social media channels. Thus, it seems that the Smart Projector R1 is unreleased for the time being, even if Roborock's home market of China. Allegedly, Roborock plans to target Asia with the Smart Projector R1, which may preclude its release in Europe and other markets. However, there is no official confirmation yet that this will be the case. Incidentally, one promotional image shows the Smart Projector R1 as being certified for sale in Europe and the US.
At any rate, the projector appears to be more of a budget option, with single 3.5 mm, HDMI and USB Type-A connections. Roborock's images also reveal that the Smart Projector R1 has front-mounted speakers, a tripod stand and a digital assistant. Other details are unknown at this stage, with iF Design dedicating three sentences to the projector on its website. Still, the Smart Projector R1 is one of the more eye-catching projectors out there, with swooping lines and comparatively vibrant colour options distinguishing it from many of its competitors.
