New Roborock S7 Max Ultra robot vacuum cleaner unveiled
The Roborock S7 Max Ultra robot vacuum cleaner has been unveiled in the US. This new model is similar to the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra, launched last year, as the names suggest. The S7 Max Ultra has 5,500 Pa suction power with HyperForce technology and an upgraded floating brush to tackle uneven surfaces; the older model had a 5,100 Pa peak suction.
The S7 Max Ultra and S7 MaxV Ultra models feature the VibraRise mopping system, scrubbing 3,000 times per minute and automatically lifting the mop when a carpet is detected. The new model uses Reactive Tech obstacle avoidance, LiDAR and 3D scanning to navigate your home easily. Another notable difference is with the RockDock Ultra docking station; the latest version has the same self-washing, emptying, refilling and dock cleaning functions as before, plus it can now automatically dry the mop.
The new Roborock vacuum, available in black or white, has an onboard 350 ml dustbin and 200 ml water tank. The robot has a 5,200 mAh battery, allowing the gadget to run for up to 180 min and cover an area of around 300 m² (~3,229 ft²). You can currently pre-order the Roborock S7 Max Ultra robot vacuum in the US for US$1,019.98 with a US$18.99 deposit to secure the ~US$260 discount; the gadget is set to retail for US$1,299.99 from June 11. It is unclear when the new model could arrive in other countries.
