EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max unveiled as a new portable power station rated for a 10-year life-span

EcoFlow asserts that its latest DELTA 2 Max portable generator can "power every day for 10 years" thanks to its long-lasting LFP batteries. They are rated for an AC output of up to 2,400W, backed to power even large appliances for most of a day in some cases. The 2 Max is also capable of using AC and solar at the same time for fast 0-80% charging times.

EcoFlow claims that the new Max version of its DELTA 2 portable power station can undergo "3000 complete cycles" of charging before its max capacity drops by 20%, which means it might stay at 100% for up to 6 times "longer than other power stations with a similar capacity and output".

The figure in question is 2,048 watt-hours (Wh), expandable to a total of 6,144Wh with up to 2 optional, stackable Smart Extra Batteries. The DELTA 2 Max is thus rated to power even a (120W) refrigerator for up to 14 hours as a standalone back-up generator.

Alternatively, it can be hooked up to the mains (using an optional Transfer Switch) in its up-to-120V "Home Backup" mode, designed to act as an uninterruptible power supply in the event of power outages. In either case, it is rated to last for up to 10 years - so long as it is only activated once per day.

The DELTA 2 Max is also rated to charge from AC (by up to 2,300W) or solar sources (by up to 1,000W) - at the same time if necessary, which allows it to re-fill back up to 80% in as little as 43 minutes (or in about 53 minutes on AC alone). The new battery back-up system will be available via EcoFlow or on Amazon from May 31, 2023, starting at US$1,899.
