Jackery Solar Generator 300 Plus debuts with LFP batteries and an early-bird offer
Jackery has announced an expansion for its Solar Generator Plus line, starting with its new, miniature 300 variant. The new accessory boasts the same LiFePO4 or LFP batteries as the 2000 Plus with ChargeShield technology, touted to ensure safety and stability, although its capacity and output are a serious departure from its existing sibling at 288Wh and 300W respectively.
Nevertheless, the 300 Plus is still touted to charge a newer iPhone about 13 times over, a 90W drone 5 times over and keep a ~10W portable speaker going for about 18 hours. It also boasts dual up-to-100W USB type-C ports, although 1 is an input as well as an output.
Accordingly, the 300 Plus is now pitched as the ultimate on-the-go portable power solution, weighing 8.72lb or 11lb together with its optiional "book-sized" solar panels. On that note, the generator does sacrifice the fast charging (and total concentration of I/O) of some other Jackery offerings for its compact, travel-friendly selling point.
It is rated to take 9.5 hours to charge from those solar panels in full, although that latency drops to 2 hours from the mains or 2.8 hours via USB. The 300 Plus is slated to be joined by the larger Solar Generator 1000 Plus soon - however, in the meantime, the ultra-portable power station is now priced at US$299.99, or US$30 less with the code PLUS30 from Jackery for a limited time. Alternatively, it is now listed on Amazon with its 40W panels for US$399.99.
