Jackery Solar Generator 880 Pro debuts as extra-compact portable power station with $230 discount
Jackery has introduced a new "entry-level" variant for its Explorer Pro series, although it is also touted as "cost-effective" as it empowers the user to carry up to 880Wh of stored energy around with them in a package weighing just 11 kilograms (or 24.25lb).
The 880 Pro has the same form-factor as the 1500 Pro, which means it has just 2 USB-C ports - then again, up to 5 mobile devices can still be plugged into it at once thanks to its triple AC outlets. They are rated for a maximum output of 1,000W, although the new "Mid-Capacity Powerhouse" is also designed to safely handle a spike to 2,000W if necessary.
Accordingly, Jackery backs the 880 Pro to handle casual off-grid or outdoor power supply needs such as running a 100W projector for up to 7 hours, or a 500W ice-maker for up to 108 minutes. At that point, it has a number of relatively quick re-charging options, using one of the OEMs latest solar panels included.
The SolarSaga Mini is touted to get 25% more efficiency than the average 100W panel as it is double-sided, and might thus bring an 880 Pro back to 100% in 12 hours. The 2 products come in a new Solar Generator bundle valued at $999, although its jackery.com page provides the SG880PRO code link to bring that price down by $230.
The Explorer 880 Pro - or the Solar Generator 880 Pro without a SolarSaga 100 Mini - has a starting RRP of $799, or $150 less with the code E880PRO. Those offers are in effect from now until April 7, 2024.
