Jackery has launched the Explorer 1500 Ultra, a rugged power station with a 1,536 Wh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. The unit can be safely used indoors, unlike a gas generator, due to its zero-emissions operation.
The portable Explorer 1500 Ultra is designed to power tools, electronics, microwaves, coffee makers and more from any location thanks to a 1,800W rated output. For high-power-draw appliances, the Jackery unit can provide up to 3,600W for five seconds or 2,000W for 15 minutes. The power station features a 12V 10A outlet, an 18W USB-A port, 30W and 100W USB-C ports, and three AC sockets.
The unit can be used as an uninterruptible power supply for any AC devices, such as desktop computers and CPAP breathing machines that do not have a built-in battery, with switchover occurring in less than 20 ms during power outages, says Jackery.
When the power has been depleted, the LFP battery can be recharged in as little as 1.5 hours when connected to AC power, 2.5 hours when connected to an 800W solar system, and 3.0 hours when connected to an automobile, says the company. It has a 4,000-cycle rating (to 70% capacity) and a five-year warranty.
The rugged power station is IP65-rated against water and dust intrusion, and socket covers protect the ports when not in use. The cooling system is also designed so that the battery remains elevated above ground, while the self-draining cooler in the bottom allows water and dust to exit easily after exposure, according to Jackery. The chassis is reinforced and protected with silicone bumpers to withstand drops, impact, and shock.
The Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra has an MSRP of $1,399, with a discounted Early Bird price of $899 for purchases made from January 4 to 24, 2026. Readers can look for it at the Jackery website and the Jackery store on Amazon.
