Jackery aims to turn entire roofs into PV systems. At CES 2025, the manufacturer is showcasing its XBC solar roof tiles for ordinary house roofs as well as its SolarSaga 100 Prime, which is designed for motorhomes, boats and the like.

Jackery is using CES 2025 in Las Vegas not only to showcase its gigantic Explorer 5000 Plus power station, which can be expanded to up to 60 kWh and supply entire households with electricity, but also to present other new solar products. The new Jackery SolarSaga 100 Prime is designed for installation on motorhomes, boats and more, while XBC solar roof tiles can cover entire house roofs with solar cells.

SolarSaga 100 Prime for motorhomes and more

Jackery is expanding its range of portable solar panels with the SolarSaga 100 Prime. Unlike other models from the manufacturer, however, this particular model is not foldable. Instead, it is specifically designed for permanent installation on mobile homes or yachts.

The bifacial module with IBC (Interdigited Back Contact) cells has an efficiency of over 25% and, thanks to high light absorption, is said to deliver up to 20% more power than comparable models, even on days with little sunlight. The IP68 waterproof SolarSaga 100 Prime is extremely weather-resistant and is designed for operating temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, so it is also equipped for extreme desert tours in a camper van or stormy seas.

Information on price and availability of the SolarSaga 100 Prime is still pending.

XBC solar roof tiles for house roofs

Jackery aims to turn entire house roofs into PV systems with its XBC solar roof tiles, which promise a cell conversion efficiency of over 25% thanks to a unique 150° curved "smile" design and 0.13 mm ultra-thin crystalline silicon solar cells. This is said to generate up to 170 watts per square meter.

XBC solar roof tiles are available in the typical roof tile colors, namely obsidian black or terracotta, and appear in no way inferior in design to classic roof tiles. According to Jackery, they are compatible with over 90% of all mounting systems, allowing for easy installation and catering to a wide range of buildings. Information on availability and price is also pending.
