Jackery unveils Explorer 1000 v2 power station utilizing LFP batteries and AI-controlled charging
Jackery has unveiled the 1070 watt-hour Explorer 1000 v2 power station utilizing LFP batteries and AI-controlled charging. The variable-speed AI charging enables the unit to quick-charge in one hour and last up to 4000 charge cycles with a maximum capacity drop of 30%. The small station can be used to power refrigerators, medical devices, laptops, and more at home or on-the-go during emergency blackouts.
The Jackery recharges in as fast as one hour when connected to the AC plug, 7.5 hours when connected to two 100-watt solar panels, and 12 hours when connected to the 12-volt plug in cars. Poor charging algorithms affect the ability of rechargeable batteries to charge to their design maximums and the longevity of the cells. To counter this, the Explorer incorporates ChargeShield 2.0 technology using variable-speed, AI-controlled charging to maximize battery health. The station also uses LFP batteries, which are more resistant to catching fire when damaged or overheated, rather than NCM batteries.
The 1000 v2 has a maximum power output of 1500 watts. The status of the Explorer can be monitored from a smartphone in addition to the built-in status display. The Explorer is rated as an uninterruptible power supply with a 20 msec switching time, allowing it to continue operating medical devices during sudden blackouts. Not all devices can handle a power loss of 20 msec, so users must test their critical devices beforehand to ensure uninterrupted operations.
As with all battery-based power stations, solar panel charging does not work at night, so when the Explorer is depleted at night off-grid, there is no way to continue running devices such as medical equipment until the sun comes up. Also, the 14° F to 113° F (-10° C to 45°C) operating range means the Jackery is not well-suited for use in severe winters or desert environments. A gas power generator (like this one on Amazon) would be a better choice when blackouts or emergencies last longer than a day.
The Explorer 1000 v2 weighs 23.8 pounds (10.8 kg) and measures 12.87 x 8.82 x 9.72 inches (32.7 x 22.4 x 24.7 cm), which is 18% smaller than the prior model. The unit has a household AC input and a 12V car input for charging. Two 8mm DC inputs allow for solar panel charging. The power station has multiple outputs including two 1500-watt AC outputs, a 18-watt USB-A output, a 30-watt USB-C output, and a 100-watt USB-C output for powering common electronics and appliances at home or on-the-go. The built-in cooling fan has a noise level under 22 dB for nearly silent operation.
The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is available for $799 (here on Amazon). Readers wanting to charge the Explorer outdoors can pick up a solar panel for $299 (here on Amazon).

E1000 v2: The Classic, Now Lighter and More Powerful
Jackery Revamps Classic Power Stations: Lighter, More Powerful E1000 v2 & E240 v2 Plus Upgraded SolarSaga100W
Weighing just 11 kg and measuring 327 x 224 x 247 mm, the Jackery E1000 v2 LiFePO4 power station is 20% smaller and 10% lighter than comparable 1 kWh models. With a 1070 Wh capacity and 1500 watts of power, it's the perfect companion for any situation requiring reliable energy. Whether you're camping, working in your garden, or at a construction site, this compact powerhouse provides energy through six versatile connections: two Schuko plugs, two USB-C ports, one USB-A port, and a 12-volt input and output. The efficient GaN (gallium nitride) bi-directional inverter allows simultaneous charging and discharging without compromising battery life.
Equipped with AI-supported ChargeShield 2.0 technology, the E1000 v2 ensures maximum safety and protection for its LiFePO4 battery, which boasts 4,000 cycles. In emergencies, the E1000 v2 can fully charge in just one hour via an app-controlled emergency mode. Alternatively, the battery-friendly fast charging mode achieves a full charge in one hour and 40 minutes.
Additional highlights include whisper-quiet operation at just 22 decibels, certified safety features, and a 20 ms uninterruptible power supply (UPS). An integrated SOS flashlight adds extra security.
For greater versatility, pair the E1000 v2 with the newly optimized SolarSaga 100W solar panel. This next-generation bifacial panel offers enhanced power generation even in partial shade and weighs only 3.6 kg — 10% lighter than its predecessor and approximately 30% lighter than comparable industry standards. The new direct charging function allows mobile devices to be charged directly via the panel's USB-C or USB-A ports without needing a power station.
E240 v2: The Ultimate Backpack Power Station, Now Better Than Ever
Originally launched in 2018, Jackery's Explorer 240 quickly became a bestseller, selling out more than 500,000 units worldwide. Now, with the E240 v2, this popular backpack power station returns with cutting-edge technology. One of the smallest 300-watt models available, the E240 v2 features dimensions of 231 x 153 x 169 mm, a weight of just 3.6 kg, and a 256 Wh capacity. Its reliable LiFePO4 battery powers devices through five different connections, including a 230-volt socket, two USB-C ports (one with 100-watt in/out capabilities), a USB-A port, and a 12-volt plug. The power station can be recharged in three ways: via a 12-volt car charger, Jackery's mobile solar panels, or a standard wall socket. ChargeShield 2.0 technology supports multiple charging modes, achieving 80% charge in just one hour and 20 minutes in fast-charging mode.
