Bluetti has unveiled the Charger 2 car and solar smart energy hub capable of providing a total output of 1,200 W by harnessing both the vehicle’s alternator and solar panels. The accessory is said to offer a charging speed 13x faster than traditional 12 V car outlets. Plus, it now supports expansion and reverse charging.

Bluetti has officially launched an all-new Charger 2, a unified car and solar smart energy hub. Alongside the Charger 2, the company also introduced its latest Elite series (the Elite 100 V2 Bio-based Edition, the Elite 300, and the Elite 320) power stations. We have already covered these power stations separately, and you can read about them here. A direct successor to the Charger 1 brings significant upgrades in terms of output and features.

The notable upgrade is the fast charging support via dual-input architecture. Speaking more precisely, the new dual-input architecture harnesses both the vehicle’s alternator and solar panels simultaneously, which allows the system to deliver a total output of up to 1,200 W. According to Bluetti, this system offers a charging speed 13x faster than traditional 12 V car outlets and nearly twice as fast as the last-generation Charger 1.

This means the Charger 2 can recharge a 1 kWh unit in under an hour. By contrast, the standard 12 V cigarette lighter socket takes over 10 hours to recharge a basic 1 kWh battery. Like the Charger 1, the Charger 2 is also compatible with almost every third-party power station. Interestingly, the new Charger 2 uses the same wiring infrastructure as the Charger 1, meaning you can simply replace the main unit with Charger 2, and there’s zero re-cabling required, said Bluetti in its press release.

In terms of ports, the DC Hub offers a DIY-friendly 12 V/50 A Anderson port, a USB-A, a USB-C, and cigarette-lighter DC outputs. With up to 600 W of stable DC power, the gadget can run most of the high-demand appliances, such as diesel heaters, LED lighting rigs, Starlink terminals, and car refrigerators. Like Bluetti’s power stations, you can also monitor real-time status, control outputs, and view energy history via the Bluetti app.

Other features include a plug-and-play RV-ready system, bi-directional reverse charging capabilities, and vehicle battery maintenance modes, including emergency jumpstart (800 W), trickle charging (100 W), and pulse maintenance (100 W).

The Bluetti Charger 2 standalone unit is priced at $599, and the system bundle costs $748. As a part of the launch offer, interested buyers can purchase the Charger 2 for $349 directly via Bluetti’s official website and Amazon. However, keep in mind that the launch offer prices are valid through February 7.
