Anker announces new Solix E10 smart home backup system

Anker has unveiled the Solix E10, a smart hybrid home backup system. The solution is designed for use during a power cut, with pre-storm alerts allowing you to start charging the batteries before the weather hits. Alternatively, you could use this product to reduce energy costs; the company claims that using a combination of solar input and the time-of-use (TOU) mode can lower your energy bills by up to 80%.

The basic version of the Solix E10 includes a power module and a 6 kWh battery. However, the battery is expandable up to 90 kWh, which Anker indicates could provide between 12 hours and 15 days of backup power. Another power source for the Solix E10 is solar panels, with the system supporting an up to 27 kW input. You can also connect Anker’s Smart Generator, which supports three types of fuel: gasoline, natural gas and propane. Plus, the smart generator will automatically pause during preset quiet hours, so it does not disturb you while you sleep.

The Anker Solix E10 has a 7.6 kW rated output as standard, with up to 30 kW Turbo Output. The system can also handle sudden power spikes in demand, such as switching on a 5-ton central A/C, thanks to up to 66 kW surge power. Accessories to enable the boosted output include the 200A Power Dock, which also offers an under 20 ms seamless switchover, ideal for sudden outages. It is also worth noting that you can remotely manage the device and monitor power consumption in the Anker app. 

In the US, the E10 Base System will retail for $4,299, and the E10 and Smart Inlet Box kit costs $4,599. A set including the E10 and the Power Dock is priced at $5,799, while the E10, Power Dock and Smart Generator bundle will sell for $7,399.

You can now pre-order the Anker Solix E10 in the US by placing a $10 deposit. On February 4th, these customers will receive a $500 discount code via email, allowing them to purchase the E10 Base System for $4,299. They will also receive a Power Essentials Bundle worth $1,399 and a three-year warranty valued at $999.
