Xiaomi has launched plenty of flagships lately, including the Xiaomi 17 Ultra that arrived on Christmas Day. Neither the Xiaomi 17 Ultra nor the rest of the Xiaomi 17 series has been made available globally yet. Instead, the Xiaomi 15T and Xiaomi 15T Pro (curr. $844.50 on Amazon) remain the most recent high-end devices that Xiaomi has released internationally.
While we await details about Xiaomi's next flagship smartphone plans, Digital Chat Station has revealed information about a smartphone believed to be the Xiaomi 17 Max. According to the leaker, the Xiaomi 17 Max will depart from its series counterparts in a few areas, including a larger battery totalling circa 8,000 mAh. Charging capabilities are set to match all but the Xiaomi 17 Ultra though, with 50 W wireless and 100 W wired support.
Likewise, the device would maintain Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Moreover, Digital Chat Station believes that the Xiaomi 17 Max will leverage the same 6.9-inch AMOLED display as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Described as an ultra-narrow display, the LTPO panel also delivers at 2,608 x 1,200 pixels with 3,500 nits peak brightness, a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2,160 Hz PWM.
Elsewhere, Digital Chat Station asserts that the Xiaomi 17 Max will feature a primary camera 'on par' with the Xiaomi 17, which features a 50 MP and 1/1.31-inch sensor. Conversely, the Xiaomi 17 Max is said to contain an upgraded periscope camera. Although Digital Chat Station 'hopes' the Xiaomi 17 Max soon, they have not offered specifics in this regard yet.
