The two terms power bank and power station typically refer to energy storage devices of different sizes. A power bank usually lacks a traditional wall outlet, while a power station is not as portable. CorePlus tries to fill that gap in between these two categories, as it’s a power bank with a full power outlet and a modular design.
Swappable batteries
This gadget supports two different battery modules with capacities of 79.2Wh and 99.5Wh. The lower-capacity version measures about 5.5 x 4.7 x 1.2 inches, so it’s 0.8 inches shorter than the larger version. Because of the modular design and multiple battery modules, the CorePlus can run almost continuously without unplugging connected devices into another power bank. A special charger can charge up to three or five of the battery modules at the same time.
200 watts of power
The power station replacement has 200 watts of power at 110 or 220 volts. That output is not suitable for most household appliances, but it’s usually enough to charge a laptop with a regular power brick. Alternatively, the USB-C provides up to 140 watts for charging smartphones, while the USB-A port offers up to 18 watts. A DC power outlet with 12 to 25 volts at up to 5 amps is also available. Moreover, wireless Qi charging supports up to 20 watts, while an Apple Watch can charge at up to 7 watts.
Backers of the Kickstarter campaign can reserve the CorePlus Pro Set for $119. The power bank by itself would cost $79, but is already sold out. Deliveries are scheduled to start in February 2026.
