Epic Games is giving away two triple-A games for free this week
The Epic Games Store has offered up another round of free games, having reduced Islets from $19.99 between March 28 and earlier today. This time, the storefront has returned to giving away two games, which it last did from March 21 to March 28 with Call of the Wild: The Angler and Invincible Presents: Atom Eve. While recent Epic Games Store giveaways have focused on highlighting indie titles, it has pivoted to triple-A games this week.
Specifically, The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition and Thief are free to download, which typically retail for $59.99 and $19.99, respectively. As always, the giveaway will last an entire week, at which point it will refresh with a fresh batch of games. Hence, this means that both The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition and Thief will remain free to download from the Epic Games Store until 15:59 UTC.
For reference, The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition averages 72/100 from 13 critic reviews on Metacritic. By contrast, Thief manages 70/100 on PC, which is a few points higher than on other platforms. Additionally, The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition and Thief have vastly different recommended system requirements, owing to being released nine years apart. Please note that the pair are only designed to run on Windows.
