505 Games' Ghostrunner 'hardcore FPP slasher' will soon be free for a short time

Epic Games has only just refreshed its free games giveaway, details of which we have covered separately. Nonetheless, @billbil_kun and Dealabs have already moved onto what the storefront will reduce next week, which will commence at 16:00 UTC on April 11. Currently, @billbil_kun asserts that only a single game will be available for free next Thursday rather than the two that can be downloaded this week.

Specifically, the leaker claims that Ghostrunner will drop to $0.00 on April 11, albeit only through the Epic Games Store. Unfortunately, it seems that the sale does not apply to Ghostrunner: Complete Edition, which adds the Project _Hel expansion pack as well as the Neon, Winter, Halloween, and Metal OX cosmetic packs. Instead, Epic Games has now confirmed that the giveaway will be for the base game that it generally sells for $29.99.

With that being said, you may have recently claimed Ghostrunner for free through the Epic Games Store. While the storefront does not acknowledge the duplication, Epic Games marked Ghostrunner as free between December 31 2023 and January 1, 2024, during its Christmas 2023 sale period. It is worth noting that Epic Games is just over a month away from revealing its MEGA Sale too, which runs between May 16 and June 13.
