Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has entered a promotional weekend, allowing players to play the game for free. This is something that Activision does from time to time, and it’s mainly to make the games get more attention. Through this promotional free-to-play phase, you can hop into the action by downloading MW3 on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
The good part about this promotional phase is that your multiplayer stats will get carried over if you decide to purchase the full game. That means all the unlocks that you get throughout the free-to-play phase of COD MW3 will be available if you buy the game after or during the weekend.
Of course, the free weekend for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 isn’t just for tying out its regular multiplayer. In addition to five multiplayer modes on nine maps, you can also play the open-world Zombies for free.
Activision has also slashed the price of Modern Warfare 3 on some of the digital platforms. For example, you can get the standard version of the game for PC for $44.99 at Battle.net, which is a generous $25 discount from the regular price tag. The Vault Edition is also discounted, and it’s currently available for $74.99. If you own a PlayStation, you can get it for $45.49 at the official store.
Do note that Modern Warfare 3 requires 149 GB of storage, which means it could take quite a long time to download the game if you don’t have fast internet. But if you do, you will get a good amount of time to experience one of the popular Call of Duty games for free, as the promotional phase ends on April 8.
