Xiaomi releases new 20000mAh 33W power bank with built-in cable
Xiaomi has launched a 20000mAh 33W power bank with a built-in USB-C cable in China. The accessory contains two 10,000mAh lithium-ion batteries, which should let you fully charge your phone multiple times.
Alongside the new Xiaomi power bank’s built-in USB-C cable are USB-C and USB-A ports, allowing you to charge three devices simultaneously. While the company notes a maximum output of 33W, it is unclear how this is split when all three outputs are used. A 33W output would allow you to charge an iPhone 15 Pro to 55% in half an hour, or a Xiaomi 14 Pro to 63% in the same time frame. The USB-C port is also used to recharge the gadget, with a 30W input, and safety features include protection against overheating and short-circuiting.
As with other similar power banks, the USB-C cable does not appear to be replaceable, meaning you can only charge two devices if this breaks. The power bank measures 127 x 70.5 x 30.5mm (~5.0 x 2.8 x 1.2 inches) and comes in light beige and dark blue. You can now buy the Xiaomi 20,000mAh Power Bank with built-in USB-C cable in China at online stores like Xiaomi Youpin and JD.com, with an RRP of 159 yuan (~$22). Whether the accessory will launch in other markets remains unclear. The device is similar to the Anker Power Bank (20,000mAh, 22.5W, Built-in USB-C Cable), currently available in the US with a 25% discount at $33.74.
