Fossibot F106 Pro announced as Bright Camp Light/Powerful Speaker rugged Android 14 smartphone
Some IP68/IP69K-rated smartphones purport to be there for their users in certain types of outdoor excursions (or emergencies) with either an unusually huge inbuilt LED light or speaker. The Fossibot F106 Pro goes even further by offering both potentially handy features in one.
With a Camp Light and Powerful Speaker listed as having outputs of 3W and 103dB respectively, the F106 Pro might not be either the brightest or loudest rugged smartphone out there. Then again, it has already outdone an impending Android 14-powered competitor (the Oukitel WP35) with a battery of 12,000mAh in total rated capacity.
The F106 Pro should also charge the faster of the 2, as it is compatible with 30W power bricks, 1 of which is included in its box. It has fewer rear cameras, although its 48MP main + 20MP Night Vision array might be useful enough in some situations.
Fossibot's latest smartphone also boasts 8GB of RAM (or up to 15GB with a RAM Boost feature) and 256GB of expandable memory. Then again, its 6.58-inch FHD+ display and 4G/LTE-only MediaTek Helio G85 SoC are less eye-catching.
The F106 Pro can be pre-ordered for $179.99 (or $50 off its MSRP) direct from the OEM until April 16, 2024 - or for as little as $151.18 on AliExpress until April 15, 2024.
Meanwhile, the super-bright and slightly more premium Ulefone Armor 24 is now available through Amazon.
