FOSSIBOT DT1 Lite launches as new 2K display rugged Android tablet for under US$140

The DT1 Lite has launched with the same MediaTek MT8788 platform as the Oukitel RT6, runs Android 13 and has IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications for "360° dust-proofing" (as well as ideally increased resistance to extreme weather, drops and rough handling). Then again, that is where the similarity between that US$399.99 rugged tablet and FOSSIBOT's new take on the category.

The DT1 Lite does not have quite so large a battery with a typical capacity of 11,000mAh - and will charge at 10W on top of that). Then again, it is backed to deliver "all-day" use between its (markedly slow) charging sessions, and has a reverse wired charging function on top of that.

FOSSIBOT's new tablet seems to have a dual rear camera hump; however, its launch material mentions only 1 13MP shooter (with 2K recording as its main selling point). That low-end vibe carries through into its 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage (with no mention of SD card expansion) out of the box.
