MediaTek Helio G99-powered Blackview Active 8 Pro rugged tablet launches with 22,000 mAh battery, up to 16 GB RAM, more

Blackview is well-known for its rugged smartphones, but it also has quite a few tablets in its portfolio. However, the Active 8 Pro arrives as the brand's first flagship rugged tablet and those interested can already place their orders on AliExpress. Depending on the buyer's location, the delivery date may vary, but Blackview revealed July 10 as the global launch date of this Android 13-driven slate.

The list of technical specs and features includes the MediaTek Helio G99 processor, a 10.36-inch IPS display, with 2,000 X 1,200 pixels, 8/256 GB of memory/storage with up to 1 TB microSD support, 16/48 MP front/rear cameras, hybrid dual 4G SIM support, OTG, NFC, FM radio, as well as a 22,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging that can provide up to 1,440 hours of standby time. The quad speaker system by Harman Kardon features two tweeters and two low-frequency speakers.

Certified to withstand extreme conditions and various hazards according to the MIL-STD-810H and IP68/IP69K standards, the Blackview Active 8 Pro features an improved glove mode and a graphite cooling system.

In addition to the tablet itself and the usual accessories, the retail package also includes a stylus and a padded leather strap. The introductory price of US$239.99 (US$396.81 MSRP) will be valid between July 10 and July 14. The first 200 buyers will also receive a Bluetooth keyboard for no additional charge.
