MediaTek Helio G99-powered Blackview Tab 18 Android tablet unveiled with Android 13 and 33 W fast charging
Blackview's next Android tablet, although it uses the ubiquitous MediaTek Helio G99 processor, comes with quite a few highlights that turn it into a flagship device. The Tab 18 is now official as the successor of the 11-inch Tab 16, packing multiple improvements, starting with a 12-inch 2.4K display with WideVine L1 support and going all the way to the 8,800 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging.
In addition to the above, the Blackview Tab 18 also features 12 GB of memory, 256 GB internal UFS 2.1 storage and up to 1 TB microSD support, quad Harman Kardon speakers with Harman AudioEFX 2.0 tuning, 8 MP and 16 MP image shooters with ArcSoft 7.0 processing, all driven by the Android 13-based DokeOS_P 4.0 mobile operating system.
Other specs and features worth mentioning are the introduction of Netflix support alongside 1080p HD streaming on Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+. The all-new S Pen Gen 2 magnetic stylus is also a strong selling point for some potential users. The list of color choices includes only three items, namely Turquoise Green, Glacier Blue, and Space Grey.
Prices will vary by market and limited quantities will be available at launch for introductory prices via AliExpress starting below the US$200 threshold. More details should become available as the November 11 launch date closes in, so stay tuned.
