MediaTek Helio G99-powered Oscal Tiger 12 smartphone launches for less than US$94
The ubiquitous MediaTek Helio G99 SoC returns in another Oscal-branded smartphone that targets the young audience and has just launched on AliExpress for an excellent introductory price. The Oscal Tiger 12 comes with a trio of unique color choices and upgrades in the camera department compared to its predecessor, as well as various minor improvements in all areas on top of the performance jump from the Unisoc T606 used by the Oscal Tiger 10 that arrived earlier this month.
Just like its less potent sibling, the Oscal Tiger 12 runs Android 13-based DokeOS 4.0. The other highlights include a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with up to 120 Hz refresh, 12 GB system memory, 256 GB internal storage and up to 1 TB microSD support. In the camera department, this handset uses Samsung hardware, namely a 64 MP ISOCELL GW3 main camera alongside a 13 MP selfie-shooter that employs the ISOCELL 3L6 sensor. A 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charge for up to 446 hours in standby is present, as well as an integrated cooling system with thermal gel and cooling graphite.
Those interested can grab this smartphone for a tempting US$93.99 until November 29th, 11:59 PM PT in Flowing Purple, Cerulean Blue, or Cloudwing Grey. For now, it seems only the 8/128 GB version is available. Also, the price depends on the buyer's location. Even for over US$100, the Oscal Tiger 12 remains an interesting new affordable Android 13 smarphone worthy of attention.
