Blackview Mega 1: New tablet with 120 Hz display
With the MEGA 1, Blackview is offering a new Android tablet. This also supports high-resolution content playback from streaming service providers and should also impress with its relatively low price and good camera features. Availability is still somewhat questionable.

The busy manufacturer Blackview has another product in the pipeline - the Mega 1, a new Android tablet. The model name leaves you a little confused: the tablet is neither particularly large nor well equipped - in terms of computing power, for example. The refresh rate, on the other hand, is higher than average for inexpensive tablets and is specified at 120 Hz, which should result in a particularly smooth user experience - if the SoC, which is limited in performance, can keep up. The screen measures 11.5 inches diagonally and has a 2.4K resolution. Thanks to Wiedevine certification, content from various streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, or DisneyPlus can also be played in higher quality - namely in Full HD resolution. Blackview puts the maximum brightness at 400 cd/m².

Four speakers promise good sound quality. The SoC is once again the well-known MediaTek Helio G99. Depending on the memory variant selected, 8 or 12 gigabytes of RAM are used. The UFS 2.1 memory, which can be expanded using a memory card, is 256 gigabytes in size in all model variants. As is often the case, you can't simultaneously install a memory card and two SIM cards since there is no third slot. Measuring 268.7 x 169 millimeters and 7.6 millimeters thick, the tablet weighs 528 grams and supports GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou in addition to various 4G bands. The Mega 1 will be available for direct import from March 17 for $199 - it is currently unclear whether the tablet will also be shipped to Germany. Other Blackview products are available in Germany.
