Verdict on the Samsung Galaxy S24+: More than just a large Galaxy S24 smartphone

In our review of the Galaxy S24+, the high-end phone from Samsung showed itself from its best angle. According to its tech specs and MRSP of US$999.99, the Plus model sits right in between the compact Galaxy S24 and the S-series flagship, the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

If you don't care about its small sister model's compactness and lightweight build, then you get the chance to have a Galaxy S24+ with 512 GB of storage and a whole load of improvements, such as its WQHD+ AMOLED panel, 12 GB RAM and a UWB chip. The latter can be used alongside the Galaxy SmartTag 2, for example, to find misplaced or lost items.

Aside from its tech specs, our test also revealed some advantages the Galaxy S24+ has in terms of heat emissions. Compared to the Galaxy S24, the Plus model completed our Burnout benchmark under standard test conditions (CPU+GPU) and didn't overheat. Its better cooling system also leads to the Exynos 2400 consuming less under load and to more constant performance. In the Wildlife stress tests of 3DMark, the Galaxy S24+ showed a moderate performance loss of around 20 per cent, while its smaller sister model sometimes only had 57 per cent of its maximum performance available.
