Samsung is in a hurry to get the stable One UI 7 update in the hands of Galaxy S24 owners. After kicking off the One UI 7 beta program earlier this month, the company has released the second update for early testers enrolled in the program that fixes glaring bugs and brings a few new enhancements.
One UI 7 Beta 2 is currently rolling out to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24, as per several user reports on X (formerly Twitter). It weighs about 1GB in size and can be identified with the build number ending in ZXL5. In terms of what's new, the update adds a new screen refresh setting in the Game Booster app, swaps the position of volume and brightness sliders, removes the "Secured by Knox" watermark, and adds a new Smart Select icon in the screenshot UI.
As expected, the latest build also fixes several annoying bugs found in the first beta, such as the repeated malfunction of Now Bar, Dex not connecting wirelessly to some TV models, slow transitioning between apps on the Recents App screen, and more. One UI 7 Beta 2 appears to be rolling out to Galaxy S24 series (view at Amazon) owners in the US, UK, Germany, Poland, and South Korea.
If you want to participate in the beta program, open the Samsung Members app on your smartphone and tap the banner that says "One UI Beta Program". For more details, check out Samsung's official documentation.
