The Galaxy A15 4G is one of Samsung's most humbly-spec'd Android smartphones of 2024, yet will upgrade to the OEM's latest One UI 7 software soon, according to some new leaks. It is backed to confer new features such as the Now Bar on the non-5G handset. There is a catch, though, which involves the fact that the update has yet to hit any device actually in circulation to date.

Samsung is working on a new build of One UI 7 for a non-Galaxy S25 device - and it is not the S24 Ultra or even the vanilla S24, but the non-5G Galaxy A15 that can be found on Amazon for as little as $155.63 right now.

Hitting the order button might still be a little premature, however, as the upgrade is not even available as an on-device beta yet. Instead, Android 15 for the Galaxy A15 (or SM-A155) has been spotted on Samsung's Remote Test Lab (RTL).

The website allows virtual access to the screen of a number of devices, the A15 4G included, so that developers can test their apps.

Some Redditors claim to be able to tell that the A15 will be able to use One UI's new Now Bar, although other features such as Now Brief might be beyond its MediaTek Helio G99-powered capabilities.

One UI 7 for the Galaxy A15 is also said to maintain the device's thicker screen bezels (with their profoundly curved corners) in animations such as those involved in switching from app to app.
