At the SDC 2024 event, Samsung confirmed that the stable rollout of One UI 7 will begin with the launch of the Galaxy S25 series. However, those who want to get a taste of what's in store can join the beta program, which was reportedly set for later this month.
But it seems the wait for the Android 15 beta update is finally over. As the Samsung Germany customer support channel has revealed, the One UI 7 beta will hit select phones today, December 5. To be specific, German users enrolled in the program are set to get the update on their Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra (256 GB curr. $849.99 on Best Buy).
It's still unclear when the public beta rollout will commence for the other regions, but the international rollout shouldn't be far from now. More specifically, if the German rollout happens today, at least the eligible US and South Korean users are expected to be right behind in getting the One UI 7 beta update.
Now, even though the Samsung Android 15 beta update is hitting Galaxy S24 devices first, over 50 devices are expected to get the stable One UI 7 update. Among these are affordable smartphones like the Galaxy A14, 2021 flagships like the Galaxy S21, and a good number of tablets.
As for the expected features, One UI 7 will reportedly bring several enhancements, including a new lock screen, a smart notification center, and new icons. The beta may not have them all, but it should offer a proper idea of what the stable update has in store.
