It has been nearly six months since Motorola announced its flagship foldable, the Razr 50 Ultra. Now, the Lenovo-owned company is ready to refresh the clamshell phone with a new color.
When the Razr 50 Ultra was announced in June 2024, it was released in a handful of colors including Spring Green, Hot Pink, Midnight Blue, and the Pantone 2024 Color of The Year, Peach Fuzz. Now, Motorola seems to be planning to announce a new variant of the phone that will be based on the Pantone 2025 Color of The Year.

The announcement was made on the official Motorola Weibo page, along with a teaser of the new color option. The phone will be announced on December 5, the same date Pantone is expected to unveil its Color of the Year 2025.
However, you don't have to wait until then to know what the color is. A few days ago, famed leaker, Evan Blass, revealed on X that the Pantone 2025 Color of The Year is Mocha Mousse which is a shade of brown. The post also included a leaked photo of the color.
Save for the new paint job, and a likely special edition packaging, the new Razr 50 Ultra should have the same specifications as the other color options.
Although the announcement is for China, it is not yet known if other regions, including North America where it is sold as the Razr+ 2024 (curr. available for $799.99 on Amazon), will get the new color.
