The missing piece of the puzzle is finally here with regards to the launch of the Redmi Note 14 series internationally. To recap, Xiaomi initially revealed that only the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G would be debuting in India on December 9. However, it then outlined that the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G would also be in attendance with an unchanged main camera.
Now, it turns out that the Redmi Note 14 5G will be joining its siblings on the same date. Incidentally, this confirmation arrives after Xiaomi started teasing the Poco M7 Pro 5G, which have its origins in the Redmi Note 14 5G that Xiaomi launched in China over two months ago. With that being said, the global version of the Redmi Note 14 5G appears to differ from its Chinese counterpart and the Poco M7 Pro 5G.
Specifically, Xiaomi's teasers confirm that the global Redmi Note 14 5G features an additional rear-facing camera, which its Chinese namesake and Poco M7 Pro 5G lack. As it stands, Xiaomi has not offered any clues about what this third rear-facing camera could be. Instead, it is focusing on the device's primary camera, which contains an unchanged Sony LYT-600 sensor that combines a 50 MP native output with a 1/1.95-inch optical format.
For context, Xiaomi made a similar move last year with the global version of the Redmi Note 13 5G (curr. $214.50 on Amazon). If that holds true for another year, then we suspect the Redmi Note 14 5G will be available internationally with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, as well as its 2 MP depth, 16 MP front-facing camera and 50 MP primary cameras. Presumably, Xiaomi will bring across a Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset and 5,110 mAh battery too, along with an unchanged 6.67-inch and 120 Hz OLED display.
