Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G confirmed for global release with unchanged main camera
Xiaomi has just introduced the Redmi K80 and Redmi K80 Pro to its home market with a bounty of high-end specifications. For reference, the pair will arrive globally early next year as the Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra, respectively. Unfortunately, it is currently unclear when either device will actually be available.
In the meantime, Xiaomi is preparing to release the Redmi Note 14 series internationally. To recap, the company announced towards the end of last month that it would unveil the Redmi Note 14 series in India on December 9. However, it only confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus would be in attendance as a direct successor to the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus (curr. $375 on Amazon).
With that being said, there has been evidence that at least the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G is on its way too. To that end, Xiaomi has now revealed that will be the case. Thus, would not be surprised if the company also releases the cheaper Redmi Note 14 5G on December 9 as well; 4G models will likely not arrive until early next year, though.
Incidentally, the sole image that Xiaomi has published so far repudiates a claim that the Redmi Note 14 Pro would feature different camera hardware outside China. Specifically, Xiaomi Time reported that Xiaomi planned to offer the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G with Samsung's 200 MP ISOCELL HP3 (S5KHP3) globally as its primary camera. Taking a closer look at the image below reveals that the global model features a 50 MP primary camera though, presumably the Sony LYT-600 offered in its Chinese counterpart.
