Tizag releases Digital Canvas Cases for Apple iPhone 16 phones
Tizag has released Digital Canvas Cases for the Apple iPhone 16 series. The cases have 4-color digital displays that users can customize with their own photos.
The Digital Canvas Case uses a 3.7-inch display that does not need energy to display a photo. The leading company in manufacturing such displays is E Ink and such displays move colored microspheres within the display panel using electrical charges. The 4-color display mixes together primary colors similar to how 4-color presses mix cyan, yellow, magenta, and black to print magazines. Due to current limitations, accurate blue and purple color reproduction is limited.
The Tizag app allows users to browse for images, customize them with stickers, text, and filters, then upload them to the Digital Canvas Case using the NFC hardware built into iPhones. Only a small amount of energy is required to change the image, so the case can run solely off the energy provided by the NFC. The display relies on natural light, so images are not visible in the dark.
The case provides basic protection against minor scratches and drops. It comes with metal buttons for a better feel and a lanyard hole for a hand or neck strap. Due to the thickness of the case, wireless charging is not supported, and the display is not waterproof.
The Digital Canvas Case for the iPhone 16 series is now available for an MSRP of $59.99 from Tizag. The cases are also available for the iPhone 15 series from Tizag or Amazon.
