Honor has now officially introduced the Honor 300 in China, which lines up beneath the Honor 300 Pro and Honor 300 Ultra in its latest smartphone refresh. As pre-release teasers suggested, the Honor 300 cuts a different figure to its series stablemates.
For instance, it is a tad smaller at 161 x 74.2 x 6.97 mm and 175 g. Incidentally, this makes the Honor 300 thinner than even the iPhone 6s, which remains Apple's sveltest iPhone released to date. The Honor 300 still packs a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that resolves at 120 Hz and with a 436 PPI pixel density, as well as a 5.3 Ah silicon-carbon (Si/C) battery that supports 100 W wired charging.
Moreover, Honor has included Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which can be complemented with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. On top of that, the Honor 300 shares its 50 MP front-facing (f/2.1), 50 MP primary (1/1.56-inch) and 12 MP ultra-wide-angle (112˚) cameras with the rest of the Honor 300 series.
Furthermore, the Honor 300 is one of the first smartphones to be released with Android 15, over which Honor applies its MagicOS 9.0 skin. Currently, the Honor 300 is exclusive to China. However, we suspect that a global release will follow at some stage, just like the Magic6 Pro before it (curr. $850 on Amazon). For reference, the Honor 300 starts at CNY 2,299 (~$344) with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage but rises to CNY 2,999 (~$412) when configured with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
