Samsung is about to fully unveil the Galaxy S25 series at the Unpacked event set for tomorrow, January 22. Hours before the launch event, the company published a short press release, which confirmed the imminent rollout of stable One UI 7 for the last-gen Galaxy S-series flagship phones.
To be specific, Samsung confirms that the stable version of the Android 15 skin will be available to all compatible Galaxy S phones before the end of the first quarter of this year. That means the update will land before April 2025. The press release also hinted that the beta program would end soon.
Speaking of which, Samsung highlights that more users took part in the One UI 7.0 beta program than the One UI 6.0 beta program. The press release also mentions that the company has received a lot of feedback and plans to make meaningful changes, promising an improved user experience.
Of course, users getting a phone from the Galaxy S25 series will be the first to experience the stable version of One UI 7. After that, the S24 lineup, Z Fold 6, and Flip 6 may be among the first phones to receive the stable update. Other compatible phones will receive it gradually (128 GB S24 FE curr. $549.99 on Amazon).
In case you're unaware, the first beta version of One UI 7.0 landed on the Galaxy S24 series in early December. It introduced many changes and new features over One UI 6.0, including revamped app icons, separated Notifications and Quick panels, and a handful of AI-powered features.
