We’ve been bombarded for weeks with leaks about the pricing of the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S25 series, which is due to launch in two days. There is arguably a pattern that the leaks get more accurate in the very last few days before a launch but, as always with unconfirmed reports, we suggest you take these latest reports with a grain of salt.
The first one, coming from an anonymous source via Gizmochina pertains to Europe, and reveals the following prices for the lineup in that market:
- Galaxy S25 (128 GB): €909
- Galaxy S25 (256 GB): €969
- Galaxy S25+ (256 GB): €1,159
- Galaxy S25 Ultra (256 GB): €1,459
If those numbers seem remarkably close to the corresponding ones for the previous generation, the next report might have an explanation as to why. According to South Korean media outlet FnNews, Samsung may be attempting to maintain pricing for the S Series around the same level across generations.
This apparently requires the company to absorb some costs incurred due to rising component prices and fluctuating exchange rates, rather than pass it on to the customers. The source anticipates the following pricing details for South Korea:
- Galaxy S25 (256 GB): 1,155,000 won (€773)
- Galaxy S25 (512 GB): 1,313,400 won (€879)
- Galaxy S25+ (256 GB): 1,353,000 won (€905)
- Galaxy S25+ (512 GB): 1,511,400 won (€1,011)
- Galaxy S25 Ultra (256 GB): 1,698,400 won (€1,136)
- Galaxy S25 Ultra (512 GB): 1,856,800 won (€1,242)
Notably, both these reports are contrary to recent ones that pointed to a price increase, but are in line with a leak from tipster Ronald Quandt back in December.
By contrast, here are some of the Galaxy S24 lineup and their current prices on Amazon:
