Samsung has just wrapped up its first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025. While the company focused heavily on the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, Galaxy S25 Ultra and One UI 7, it had one more device up its sleeve. In an 'One more thing' moment, Samsung teased the release of the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was previously known as the Galaxy S25 Slim.
As it turns out, recent render images showing the device were completely inaccurate, at least from the rear. The typically reliable leaker claimed to have received information that pointed to the Galaxy S25 Edge being a slimmer version of the Galaxy S25 Plus (curr. $999.99 on Amazon) with three rear-facing cameras.
In actual fact, Samsung has switched to a dual camera setup with the Galaxy S25 Edge, which sits within a pill-shaped camera housing. The result is a device that looks like an Xperia 5 V from the rear, albeit with the front design of a Galaxy S25 or Galaxy S25 Plus. Other details about the Galaxy S25 Edge remain unknown for now, including when Samsung plans to reveal more information about it.
