Samsung has already confirmed that new Galaxy S smartphones will be with us next week following its latest Galaxy Unpacked event. Based on recent leaks, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra will be in attendance as direct successors to last year's Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy S24 Ultra (curr. $908 on Amazon). However, there has been strong evidence to suggest that a fourth model may also launch later this year as a counter to the rumoured iPhone 17 Air.
To that end, less than 24 hours have passed since OnLeaks shared CAD-based renders of the Galaxy S25 Slim. Now, both OnLeaks and Ice Universe have compared the four devices to see how the so-called Slim slots in next to its Galaxy S25 stablemates. With dimensions of 159 x 76 x 6.4 mm, the Galaxy S25 Slim may be mistaken for the Galaxy S25 Plus, which clocks in at 158.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm. Accordingly, the pair cut similar figures in the comparison images embedded below.
A 0.9 mm and 12% thinner housing may disproportionately impact the Slim's battery capacity, though. According to Digital Chat Station, the Galaxy S25 Slim may arrive with a 3,000-4,000 mAh battery, which would represent a capacity drop of anywhere from 18% to 38%. While adopting silicon-carbon battery technology would allow Samsung to fit a high-capacity battery inside the Galaxy S25 Slim, the company is not rumoured to be considering the technology until next year's Galaxy S26 series.
