Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim makes Geekbench debut with a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy onboard
While Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy S25 series in about two weeks, there's an all-new model in the lineup that won't debut at that event. The Galaxy S25 Slim, Samsung's reply to Apple's upcoming iPhone 17 Air, is touted to launch much later in the year but has now made what looks to be its first trip to Geekbench.
As revealed by leaker Jukanlosreve, the Galaxy S25 Slim has now been spotted on Geekbench. The device is listed as "SM-S937U," likely indicating that it's the US-unlocked model of the S25 Slim. Other entries on the listing confirm the presence of Qualcomm's current-gen flagship chipset—specifically the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, evidenced by the higher 4.47 GHz clock speed on display. The 12 GB of RAM as listed is also consistent with rumored specifications for other Galaxy S25 series models.
Performance-wise, the device in question fails to impress, as is typical with early Geekbench listings of Samsung phones—its recorded scores of 3005 and 6945 for the single-core and multi-core tests respectively are far below the standard for Snapdragon 8 Elite phones. Supposedly, it's likely the S25 Slim features the Qualcomm chipset in most markets as Samsung's struggles with the Exynos 2500 continue.
According to prior reports, the Galaxy S25 Slim will be positioned somewhere between the Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra, and is expected to be priced accordingly. The premium device is said to be well under 7 mm thick and will feature a 200 MP camera. Unfortunately, it's likely to come equipped with a battery smaller than the rumored 4900 mAh unit on the Galaxy S25 Plus.
