AMD brought a whole host of new processors to this week's Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025), including the entire Ryzen Z2 series. While the series will likely go on to power handhelds from various OEMs this year, only Lenovo has announced anything with a Ryzen Z2 APU so far. To that end, there are already rumours of an MSI Claw refresh occurring soon, details of which we have covered separately.
To recap, Lenovo presented the Legion Go S (Windows) and Legion Go S (Steam OS) at CES 2025, as well as the Legion Go 2 in prototype form. Now, the first of these is available to pre-order across Europe, the UK and the US. For some reason, Best Buy currently has exclusivity over the device in the US, where it is only sold for $729.99 with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. For context, this pricing makes the Legion Go S more expensive than the more powerful Legion Go that debuted last year (curr. $649.99 on Amazon).
By contrast, Lenovo is offering the Legion Go S directly in Europe and the UK with the addition of a cheaper 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage SKU. As a result, the device starts at £600 and €629 in the UK and Eurozone, respectively, with prices rising to £649.99 and €800 for the device's 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage variant. Please see our Legion Go S launch article for full hardware details about Lenovo's second gaming handheld release.
