Samsung is all but certain to launch the Galaxy S25 Slim this year. The flagship device will debut separately from the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra as an alternative to the iPhone 17 Air, and a new leak has now provided some insight into its potential launch date.
As shared on Weibo by leaker Setsuna Digital, the Galaxy S25 Slim is supposedly being readied to launch in May. The Galaxy main Galaxy S25 series trio will debut next week, and it appears the Slim could land around four months later. Previous reports hinted at the S25 Slim making its debut later in the year, possibly alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 at Samsung's second Unpacked for the year—in July or August.
A May launch admittedly makes some sense, with the Galaxy S25 Slim already being spotted on Geekbench recently. The Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 have yet to visit any benchmarks, hinting at the development of the Galaxy S25 Slim being ahead of Samsung's foldables for the year.
In any case, the S25 Slim is said to be positioned between the Galaxy S25 Plus and S25 Ultra, and will be priced as such. If this leak of a May launch is anything to go by, more specific details of the phone will begin to surface shortly. We'll keep you updated for sure.
