Motorola has kicked off the new year by refreshing its Moto G portfolio with new models. While the company began last year with the Moto G04 and Moto G24, it has decided to update a handset that is less than a year old.
The device in question is the Moto G, which Motorola refreshed in March 2024 with a new dersign and a more powerful chipset, among other changes (curr. $149.99 on Amazon). This year, the company has adopted another new look for the Moto G 5G that brings it into line with other recent Moto G and Moto Edge releases.
As such, the Moto G 2025 has a vegan leather back that wraps around a raised camera housing. Please note that although three rear-facing lenses are present, only its 50 MP main camera is of any use. Meanwhile, a 16 MP selfie camera intersects the device's 6.7-inch, 720 and 120 Hz IPS display.
Motorola has also equipped the Moto G 2025 with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 30 W wired charging and contributes to its 193 g weight. The new Moto G finds itself with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset and 4 GB of RAM too, as well as a chocie between 64 GB and 128 GB of storage. The Moto G 2025 will reach the US on January 30 for $199.99 before landing in Canada on May 2. For context, a new Moto G Power has arrived today as well, which we have covered separately.
