The Moto G Power (2025) has been unleashed on the US market as a new Android 15 smartphone. It is the bigger sibling of its Dolby Atmos-enhanced Moto G contemporary in a number of ways, albeit for $100 more. Can it live up to the last part of its name, though?

The Moto G Power (2025) is now available to order from Motorola or Amazon for $299.99. For that, it offers a 120Hz 6.8-inch FHD+ powered by the same Dimensity 6300 SoC as its slightly smaller, HD+ Moto G counterpart.

Accordingly, the former could be seen as the Pro version of the latter, especially as the Moto G and G Power (2025) have the same Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and headphone jack. They both boast expandable storage via microSD, 16MP punch-hole selfie cameras and even the same 50MP main rear camera.

Then again, the G Power (2025) has the better secondary rear camera, which is 8MP and has ultrawide-angle function on top of that. The smartphone is also the only 1 of the 2 new Motorola devices with 8GB of RAM - not to mention upgraded Gorilla Glass 5 and a top-end IP68/IP69 rating.

The the G Power (2025) also even has a MIL-STD-810H rating. Ironically, it does not have a battery upgrade compared to the 'plain' Moto G - although that same 5,000mAh battery and 30W wired charging is augmented with 15W wireless charging in the newer smartphone.

Therefore, the new Moto G Power might indeed be worth the extra $100 to some potential buyers.
