Motorola has presented a 2023 edition of the Moto G Power, sold as the Moto G Power 5G or Moto G Power 5G (2023). Regardless, the Moto G Power 5G (2023) measures 163.06 x 74.80 x 8.45 mm and weighs 185 g. As expected, the handset has a 3.5 mm jack, which Motorola complements with a USB 2.0 Type-C port. Additionally, the handset has a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15 W charging; Motorola only includes a 10 W charger in the box, though.
Moreover, the Moto G Power 5G (2023) has a 6.5-inch IPS display that resolves at 1080p in a 20:9 aspect ratio with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 405 PPI pixel density. Furthermore, Motorola equips the Moto G Power 5G (2023) with a MediaTek Dimensity 930, which it also uses in the Moto G73. Incidentally, the pair share several other features, such as 50 MP primary and 16 MP front-facing cameras. The Moto G Power 5G (2023) contains 2 MP depth and macro cameras though, rather than an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera like the Moto G73.
The Moto G Power 5G (2023) will be available with Android 13, 256 GB of expandable storage and 6 GB of RAM for US$300 from the likes of Amazon, Best Buy and Motorola, as well as various network carriers later this year. For now, it appears that Motorola will restrict sales to the US, where it will be available from April 13. Typically, the company sells Moto G Power models in other markets, although this may well be another 4G model, as has previously been the case with the Moto G Stylus series.
