Samsung Galaxy A24: Leak reveals pricing, launch window and specifications for new mid-range smartphone
The Galaxy A24 has been spotted again, only a day or so after Samsung India listed the device on its website as the SM-A245F/DS. Incidentally, Gadgety obtained initial product images of the Galaxy A24 last month, which The Tech Outlook has now added to. As the images below show, the new product images provided a few specifications about the forthcoming smartphone too.
Specifically, the Galaxy A24 will be available with at least 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, which Samsung is rumoured to have complemented with the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. For reference, the SoC has proven to be roughly 48% faster than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 in the Galaxy A23. In other words, the Galaxy A24 should be noticeably more powerful than its predecessor.
Additionally, the Galaxy A24 has a 50 MP triple rear-facing camera set-up, mirroring other recent Galaxy A series devices. Moreover, Samsung will ship the handset with a 5,000 mAh battery that is capable of 15 W wired charging. Based on the images below, it would seem that the Galaxy A24 will ship without wireless charging capabilities. The Galaxy A24 is rumoured to land towards the end of this month in multiple markets. Purportedly, Samsung will price the Galaxy A24 for around US$190 in the US; pricing is unknown in other markets for now.
