Last month, WinFuture shared several details about the Pixel 7a, Google's next mid-range smartphone. The website also revealed new information about the Pixel Fold, as we discussed at the time. According to WinFuture, Google will offer the Pixel 7a in at least three colour options described as Arctic Blue, Carbon and Cotton. The website added that there could be a 'Jade' colourway too, although it was not clear whether this applied to the Pixel 7a or one of its first-party cases.
According to @passionategeekz, this is not necessarily the case, nor will the Pixel 7a just come with 128 GB of storage. Purportedly, the Pixel 7a will be available with 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, matching the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro in most markets. However, two storage options would be a first for a Pixel a series smartphone, as would a 256 GB configuration.
Additionally, @passionategeekz asserts that Google will sell the Pixel 7a in five colourways, not three or four. The leaker adds that these colourways will be marketed as:
- Crispy Kale
- Dinuguan Black
- Mayo Cream
- Tide Orange
- Vibrant Ube
Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 7a on May 10 during its I/O 2023 keynote. The handset may not start shipping until the following month though, which was also the case with the Pixel 6a. Reputedly, the Pixel 7a will launch for approximately €500 too, €50 more than its predecessor.
