Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S returns as new Redmi Note 12S ↺
Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi Note 12S, a cheaper alternative to the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G that will retail for €329 in Europe. By contrast, the Redmi Note 12S will start at €289. As GSMArena notes, the Redmi Note 12S showcased in Greece has a different camera arrangement than the Redmi Note 12S shown at the FCC.
Still, the Redmi Note 12S appears to be another re-branded exercise with a few tweaks, mirroring the Redmi Note 12 Pro 4G. Specifically, the new Redmi S series model shares all key specifications with its predecessor. As GSMArena's image below shows, the Redmi Note 12S has a 6.43-inch and 90 Hz display like the Redmi Note 11S.
Additionally, the new handset features a 108 MP primary rear-facing camera. However, Xiaomi has only included two auxiliary cameras, dropping one from the Redmi Note 11S. The MediaTek Helio G96 remains though, as does a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 33 W charging. GSMArena has not disclosed a release date, but Xiaomi will sell the Redmi Note 12S in Ice Blue, Onyx Black and Pearl Green colourways.
