The Philips 2025 soundbars have been officially announced. The lineup includes the 2.1 channel B6100 and B8200, as well as the 5.1 channel B8500. These are all billed as compact models, each supporting Dolby Atmos and Bluetooth. Plus, the range-topping B8500 offers an HDMI 2.1 FRL port.

TP Vision has announced three new Philips soundbars: the B8500, the B8200 and the B6100. The company suggests that each model is suitable for a different home cinema set-up.

The B8500, a 300W 5.1-channel model, is designed to work with the latest Philips MLED950 and OLED810 TVs. At 900 x 65 x 105 mm (~35.4 x 2.6 x 4.1 inches), the elliptical speaker is designed to fit with the TV's central stand and has a Satin Chrome Sheen finish. It is equipped with two 2.25 inch drivers, and two further 2 inch drivers for the side-firing channels. The accompanying subwoofer has an 8 inch driver and can be positioned horizontally or vertically. This soundbar has an HDMI 2.1 FRL port, meaning it supports 4K@120Hz passthrough, and Bluetooth 5.4 wireless connectivity.

The B8200 is a more compact 2.1-channel speaker, measuring 81 x 37 x 42 mm (3.2 x 1.5 x 1.7 inches), again designed for TVs with a central stand. Each channel in the soundbar has a tweeter and full-range racetrack driver, with a total 160W RMS power. Alongside this is the 120W subwoofer, which features two drivers. This mid-range system offers Bluetooth 5.3 and an HDMI 2.1 TMDS port.

The smallest model is the B6100, which measures 600 x 65 x 105 mm (~23.6 x 2.6 x 0.6 inches). As such, this 2.1-channel system is suited to 48 to 55 inch TVs. There are two 2.25 inch drivers in the soundbar with 200W RMS and an accompanying 120W subwoofer. Like the B8500, it supports Bluetooth 5.4, but with the HDMI 2.1 TMDS port.

All three models support Dolby Atmos and DTS:X and can be remotely controlled via the Philips Entertainment app. The Philips B6100 soundbar will be the first to launch in May. The B8200 will be released in August, with the range-topping B8500 following a few weeks later in September for around €350. The company has yet to announce the prices of the two smaller models, which are expected to launch in various markets worldwide.
