Samsung has officially announced the HW-QS700F soundbar, and more details about the upcoming model have been reported. The flagship model was recently on show at CES 2025 alongside the HW-Q990F soundbar.
The Samsung HW-QS700F is said to be a 3.1.2-channel soundbar with a total of nine speakers. These include front and upfiring speakers, and the soundbar is accompanied by a wireless subwoofer. The company describes its new soundbar as “versatile”, as it can be mounted on the wall or placed on a media unit and positioned vertically or horizontally. Thanks to an integrated gyroscope sensor, the up-firing and front-firing speakers can automatically switch rolls based on the detected position, with audio balanced accordingly.
Samsung has already indicated that the QS700F will have features like Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Q-Symphony Pro and the new Eclipsa Audio when used with a compatible 2025 TV. It is also expected to offer Apple AirPlay 2, Chromecast and SpaceFit Sound. On top of this, it is rumored that Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Audio, and DTS:X will be supported.
Though it is due to launch in 2025, it is unclear precisely when the Samsung HW-QS700F soundbar will launch or how much it will cost. As a guide, the 2023 HW-Q700C, also a 3.1.2 channel soundbar, originally retailed for $699.99. However, it is currently available for $447.95 on Amazon. As well as the HW-Q990F, Samsung is also expected to launch the HW-B750F and HW-B650F later this year.
